Though the first week there was solid rain and high winds... Beth and I managed to keep our spirits relatively high... considering... the only things to do there are outside related. We managed a good laugh once and again and made it through the much needed rain storms.
Week two proved to be GORGEOUS weather and we filled it up with as much outdoors as we could.
Lamington National Park was our first 2 and a half day adventure. It included a 13- 14 mile hike (if my kilometer calculations are correct) that was stunning. It included a string of waterfalls, one more stunning than the next and an amazing overlook view of the valley below and the ocean on the horizon! All of this includes walking through several types of beautiful rain forests, still wet from a week of rain! Stunning.
Fraser Island was another 2 day adventure. More details later.
I took film, and didn't utilize my digital much. The 20D was at the Canon repair so we'll soon see how those film shots turned out... as soon as I process them, that is.

This is me in Lake McKensey (or something like that-will look up later) on Fraser Island... fresh water and cold!
